over 80 Boko Haram commanders, foot soldiers surrender in Bama

80 members of the Boko Haram sect; commanders, foot soldiers and logistics suppliers have surrendered to the Nigerian Army in Bama, Borno state.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.
The statement said that the surrendered insurgent participated in several attacks on Bama, Borno State.
He said, “In a landmark event today, 80 Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered en mass to troops ofOperation Lafiya  Dole, in Bama, Borno State.


“The terrorists, among whom were commanders, suppliers and foot soldiers, confirmed to have partook in several terrorists attacks especially on Bama town, Borno State, surrendered as a result of the intense heat and continuous offensive action embarked on by troops.”
