2 teenagers arrested for assaulting a teacher in George Washington High School

Two teenagers are in police custody after a George Washington High School teacher was assaulted inside a classroom on Monday.
It was around 10 a.m. when police say the male teacher was teaching in his classroom when the two offenders pushed their way into the class.

School district representatives say the 9th and 10th grade students came into the 9th grade teacher's classroom to retrieve a cell phone when the assault occurred.

Police say one teen punched the teacher in the right side of his face, then the next teen pushed the teacher two times.

The teacher was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital with right cheek and nose pain, to be checked out as a precaution.

Police say the teens, males ages 16 and 17, were taken into custody. So far, no word on charges.
