Say no to Domestic violence--Man remembers his mum who was stabbed to death by his dad years ago to encourage people to rise above difficult experiences

On March 21 1997, Nick Banks' mother was stabbed to death by his father. He stabbed her 13 times before Nick's sister while Nick was sleeping. Two days ago, on what would have been his mother's 52nd birthday, he shared her photos and wrote:

"My Father Stabbed My Mother To Death 13 Times In Front of My Sister While I Was Asleep In The House. Today She Would Have Been 52 Years Old. Domestic Violence Is Very Real. I Share This Story Every Year To Let People Know That Things In Our Lives Happen That'll Leave You Stuck With Two Options...Let It Hinder You Or Rise Above It. She Would Have Wanted Me To Rise. Happy Birthday Mom. R.I.H. February 12th 1964 - March 21st 1997."
